מה זה RSS?
RSS ראשי תיבות של (Really Simple Syndication), מכונה בעברית גם "רסס".
זהו תקן בינלאומי להפצת תכנים ברשת האינטרנט ומאפשר לאתרי אינטרנט לשדר תוכן מעודכן ללקוח וגם לאתרים אחרים על מנת להשתמש בהם.
ובמילים פשוטות יותר, זהו כינוי לקישור מיוחד שאתרי אינטרנט מקצים לגולשים עבור ערוץ תוכן מסוים שהם מעדכנים בצורה שוטפת.
דוגמא: אם ניקח קישור RSS של "מדור בריאות" מהאתר בי ומן, ונשתמש בו, נקבל עדכון בכל פעם שכתבה חדשה הוכנסה למדור בריאות.
זהו בעצם הרעיון של ה RSS - לקיחת מידע בצורה תמציתית מאתר מסויים ושילובו באתרים ובפלטפורמות שונות.
